Parras de la Fuente is a charming little city located in the state of Coahuila. Its name translates as “grapevines of the fountain”, referring to the vineyards that surround the town. Here you can visit the oldest continuously operating winery in the Americas on the outskirts of a colonial city with beautiful architecture and historical buildings.
Parras de la Fuente enjoys a scenic landscape of mountains, swimming ponds, thermal pools, extinct volcanoes, and groves of huge old pecan trees. It´s no surprise that its nickname is “Coahuila´s Oasis”.
A beautiful destination for an event, Parras de la Fuente has a number of hotels, including the five-star Rincon del Montero, with 100 guestrooms, a golf course, tennis courts, a pool, and 3 meeting halls that can hold 100 people, as well as event space in the garden.
The Casa Madero Hacienda, home of America´s first winery founded in 1597, hosts small groups and events in its 24 guestrooms. It has several elegant patios and gardens perfect for executive off-sites, business meetings and weddings.
Torreon International Airport is located 77 miles from Parras de la Fuente, with direct flights to Mexico City, Guadalajara, Dallas, and Houston.
